Booking a single Destin cottage is a good-value option for smaller groups, but the pool and lawn are shared with the other cottage.

Which slot for a pool party?

The Day slot, 12 pm to 6 pm, gets the most sun. If you want to swim and then party into the night, take Day + evening (12 pm to 9 pm) or an Overnight slot and stay.

Tips for an easy pool day

• Keep an adult on watch whenever children are in the water.
• Bring swimwear and a change of clothes for every guest, plus towels.
• No glass near the pool. Use plastic cups and plates around the deck.
• Sunscreen and drinking water matter more than you think in the afternoon.
• Plan food for after the swim. People are hungrier than usual, so order a few extra plates.
